Allard Kaptein, PhD is a Biologist/Pharmacologist with more than 25 years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in Lead Generation, Lead Optimization and Preclinical Development in Big Pharma (MSD, Schering-Plough, Organon, Glaxo(Wellcome)) and Biotech Pharma (Acerta Pharma, Genase Therapeutics). In addition, he has a strong background in Translational Sciences, establishing readouts/markers used to translate proof of mechanism and efficacy from preclinical activities to the clinic. Under his leadership, multiple programs progressed through the preclinical and clinical stages all the way to FDA and EMA approval.

Next to his role as chair of the board, Allard supports the Immagene team with optimizing the drug discovery and development activities of the company, generating Leads, Development Candidates and Clinical Candidates in line with Big Pharma standards.
